A SPECTEXT®99 subscriber asks: How can I get my SPECTEXT®99 toolbar to appear every time I start Microsoft7 Word Office 97? SPECTEXT®99 is shipped with the SPECTEXT.DOT template which includes a toolbar containing various macros that enable subscribers who use Word Office 97 to edit the formatting of SPECTEXT®99 sections more easily. To ensure that the SPECTEXT® toolbar appears each time you start Word Office 97, subscribers may copy the SPECTEXT.DOT template to the Startup directory located in their Word program files on their C: drive. To locate this directory on your system, start Microsoft Word Office 97. Select Tools, Options, File Locations from the Standard toolbar. The Options dialog box will appear. Note the Startup listed under File Types in the Options dialog box. The path of the Startup directory is listed in the same dialog box under File Locations. The path may be something similar to c:\msoffice\office\startup, depending on the setup of your system. Once you have identified the proper location of your Startup directory for Microsoft Word Office 97 you are ready to copy the SPECTEXT.DOT template to the Startup directory using Windows Explorer. |
