CSRF Elects New Officers and Directors

CSRF Newsletters

At their April 1999 Board meeting, The Construction Sciences Research Foundation, Inc. elected four new members as well as new Officers and Directors to the Board. Their terms will begin July 1, 1999.

Four New Board Members Named

David E. Boelzner, Esq., Principal of the law firm Wright, Robinson, Osthimer & Tatum, with offices in Washington D.C., Richmond, Los Angeles and San Francisco, was elected Vice President. Mr. Boelzner practices in the areas of commercial litigation, intellectual property and licensing, particularly involving design, engineering and construction.

Colin Gilboy, P.E., CCPR, Principal of Curry + Rand, a manufacturer’s rep sales agency for construction products headquartered in Redwood Shores, CA, and developer of Specs-Online.com, an Internet directory for specified construction products was named Director.

 
Stephen M. Campbell, Interim Executive Director, Facilities Management, Johns Hopkins University, was elected Director.

David Stutzman, RA, CSI, CCS, President of FOCUS Collaborative, Inc., a specification and architectural/engineering quality assurance consulting firm with offices in New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania, was elected Special Director. He has served on Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) national committees, most recently chairing a committee to revise UniFormat™.

New Officers Elected

Douglas W. Day, FCSI, CCS, Principal of Douglas Day Associates, an architectural and specification consulting firm headquartered in Foster City, CA, was elected President.

Michael D. Dell’Isola, P.E., C.V.S., Senior Vice President of Hanscomb, Inc., an international construction consulting firm, was elected Vice President, Finance and Administration.

Charles Chief Boyd, FCSI, CCS, Principal of The Boyd Group, an architectural firm headquartered in Tulsa, OK, was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

Dennis H. Still, RA, an architect with an office in Oxford, MD, was elected to the office of CSRF Immediate Past President.

Directors Elected

Arthur J. Miller, PE, FFES, FCSI, Senior Vice President of AVART, Inc., an E/A firm in Miami, FL, past president of the Construction Specifications Institute and CSRF, was elected Director.

A.B. Cleveland, Jr., President of Jacobus Technology, Inc., a software development firm in Gaithersburg, MD, was elected Director.

Dana K. Smith, AIA, Deputy Director, Planning and Engineering Systems, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, was elected Special Director.

CSRF is a not-for-profit construction industry research foundation headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Among the programs developed by CSRF under the CONCOM® (CONstruction COMmunications) program are SPECTEXT® and SPECTEXT® II Master Guide Specifications, and other research, specification management and construction industry programs.
